Aims to acknowledge outstanding achievements in Hong Kong Dance industry and raise public awareness of the diversity and excellence of local dance scene.
Among others, Awards have been presented to choreographers, dancers, directors, dance companies, independent dancers and dance organizations, educators, educational institutions, community and youth groups, lighting, costume, and sound designers, composers, dance photographers and videographers, critics, producers, sponsors, presenters, activists, and advocates.

香港舞蹈年奖的「终身成就奖」旨在表彰毕生为舞蹈界做出卓越贡献的个人。这项殊荣颂扬他们的奉献精神、艺术造诣以及对香港舞蹈发展的影响。获奖者以其对舞蹈艺术的热情和执著激励后世，也见证了舞蹈在香港社会的变革。
该奖项仅接受联盟理事委员会和专家评审团成员的提名。

Eligibility
All dance artists and practitioners contributing to Hong Kong dance productions are eligible for nomination for the Awards.
In order to be eligible, all nominations must be for work performed or conducted in Hong Kong.
Eligibility Period
Unless otherwise specified, the Eligibility Period is from
1 January to 31 December of each year preceding the Award Presentation Ceremony.
Expert Panels
Each year, the Alliance Executive Committee appoints Expert Panels to review all nominations for shortlisting. Each Expert Panel is composed of experienced professionals from different disciplines in the dance sector. Each panel shall include at least one member of the Alliance Executive Committee and one external member.
