It accompanies the festive celebrations for Princess Aurora's sixteenth birthday, as villagers bearing flower garlands fill the court with a grand ensemble waltz. This adaptation, choreographed for eight female dancers, distils the grandeur of Petipa's original ensemble into an intimate yet vibrant staging. The dancers capture the joy and energy of the occasion, their swirling garlands and buoyant waltz steps conveying the spirit of celebration. Performed here for our audience, the piece invites all present to share in the festivities—a joyful outpouring of music and movement that sets the stage for the dance to unfold.
