Dance Awards
Aims to acknowledge outstanding achievements in Hong Kong Dance industry and raise public awareness of the diversity and excellence of local dance scene.
Among others, Awards have been presented to choreographers, dancers, directors, dance companies, independent dancers and dance organizations, educators, educational institutions, community and youth groups, lighting, costume, and sound designers, composers, dance photographers and videographers, critics, producers, sponsors, presenters, activists, and advocates.

Lifetime Achievement
The Lifetime Achievement Award at the Hong Kong Dance Awards recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to dance community over their lifetime. This prestigious honour celebrates their dedication, artistry, and impact on the evolution of dance in Hong Kong. Recipients of this award inspire future generations through their passion and commitment to the art form. It serves as a testament to the transformation of dance in our society.
Only nominations from the Alliance Executive Committee and Expert Panel members are accepted.

Overseas Guest Panelists (27th Hong Kong Dance Awards)
Eligibility
All dance artists and practitioners contributing to Hong Kong dance productions are eligible for nomination for the Awards.
In order to be eligible, all nominations must be for work performed or conducted in Hong Kong.
Eligibility Period
Unless otherwise specified, the Eligibility Period is from
1 January to 31 December of each year preceding the Award Presentation Ceremony.
Expert Panels
Each year, the Alliance Executive Committee appoints Expert Panels to review all nominations for shortlisting. Each Expert Panel is composed of experienced professionals from different disciplines in the dance sector. Each panel shall include at least one member of the Alliance Executive Committee and one external member.
