Event outline
"The body never lies." This quote by Martha Graham, the master of American modern dance, reveals the honest and delicate connection between the body and the mind.
This season of the Dance for Health Workshop invites you back to your most primal rhythms—breath, heartbeat, sensation, and intention. Through the vibrations of singing bowls and gentle movement, you will gradually align yourself and return to a space for honest self-dialogue.
During this session on Saturday morning or Monday lunch break, you will experience being gently held by sound waves through singing bowl therapy, body awareness, and simple dance improvisation. Within this safe environment, your body will gradually release tension, allowing your analytical brain to step aside. You will immerse yourself in the experience of sensing, flowing, and finding stillness, using bodily dialogue to gain deeper personal insight.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the "Heart" as an organ not only governs blood circulation and warms the entire body, but is also closely linked to mental activities, consciousness, thought, and emotion. Combining the grounding frequencies of singing bowls with a slow movement journey, this workshop invites you to return to the peace and freedom of the Heart. Reconnect with that warm, delicate pulse and rediscover your own inner rhythm.Through the concept of Qi flow, you will understand the body as a continuously moving energy field. Together, we will closely observe the shifts in body and mind, using breath regulation to drive energy flow and revitalize the body that never stops moving.
