In view of the continuing uncertainty and risk of infection caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the 22nd Hong Kong Dance Awards Presentation Ceremony will be changed from a public event to a closed-door, invitation-only event with live-streaming on social media platforms for free viewing. To avoid a large gathering, only the shortlisted nominees and other related parties will be invited to attend in person.
Date: 18 July 2020 (Sat)
Venue: Auditorium, Kwai Tsing Theatre (By invitation only)
Time: 8pm (Live streaming)
This year, 44 outstanding nominees have been shortlisted under 14 award categories (click here for the shortlisted nominations). The shortlists were determined by a ballot of expert panelists held after reviewing all the nominations received this year. A final ballot will be conducted in March to decide the Awards with an expanded jury including all members of the HKDA Executive Committee. Award recipients will be announced during the 22nd Hong Kong Dance Awards Presentation. (For the list of expert panelists together with all rules and procedures of the shortlisting and final ballot process, please visit this website.)
