As a dancer, taking care of yourself is essential for sustaining a long career. Hong Kong Dance Alliance (HKDA) has invited two experts - an experienced physiotherapist, and a dance educator with wide knowledge of dance science - to participate in our Dance Hub Lecture Series, giving guidance on how dancers can take care of their physical and mental health

Too often, dancers ignore the limits of their body while they are performing or building up their technique, making it easy to get injured. In the first two talks of the series, speaker Clement Chan will introduce ways of preventing and recovering from dance injuries and will also demonstrate some relaxing stretches for daily practice.

Even if your body is healthy, if your mind is tense that can also spoil a performance. In the last talk of the series, dance educator Heidi Yu who possesses deep knowledge in dance science will talk about developing a positive mindset and ways to deal with anxiety.
