Hong Kong Dance Alliance strives to foster dance and performing artists’ research and development capabilities by providing a platform to encourage inter-dependent and interactive learning strategies in the creative process and research; to enhance artistic standards; and, to support artistic development. Cross-media artist, Dick Wong, has been invited to be the Facilitator and Curator of a three-week Collaborative Creative Lab. A Work-in-progress Showing will be held in the last session for participants to share their research outcomes.

Remove limits to creation, abandon mechanical patterns of producing arts

Encourage adventurous creative processes, sharpen your focus on developing research ideas
Workshop Details
1st & 2nd Week: 1.9-13; 16-20 (Mon - Fri) 10am-2pm
Research & Exploration – Thematic sharing sessions to explore research directions in groups
3rd Week: 2.6-10 (Mon - Fri) 10am-6pm, any 4 hours a day
Group Research – Smaller group collaborative discussion and development to further work on the research targets and prepare for the last showing
Work-in-progress Showing: 2.10 (Fri) 3-5pm
Present outcomes from the research weeks (open to all formats)
* Guests from various creative/arts fields will be invited
* Principal language of workshop delivery is Cantonese
*19th Hong Kong Dance Awards Fellowship
Three participants will be selected for a Hong Kong Dance Awards Fellowship to further develop their works and perform on stage at the Hong Kong Dance Awards Presentation.
Requirements for Applicants
1. Be a Hong Kong Resident
2. Have demonstrated experience in the creative process or performing arts
3. Have ideas, targets or themes for research and development
4. Be able to fulfill all research hours and attend the W-I-P Showing
